Born and raised in Chicago, Brandon’s passion for writing, film and art started at a very young age. He won the Young Author’s Writing Contest at the age of 12, won several art competitions, and was accepted to a prestigious private art school at age 16.

After studying commercial art and graphic design in Chicago, Brandon relocated to Los Angeles where he worked as a freelance video editor for short corporate productions for clients such as Bon Secours Health System, Edison Int’l and Hard Rock Hotel.

Since attending the Art Institute of Hollywood—where he studied film and TV production—Brandon edited several music videos including “Crime of Love” for Wavelength Music. In 2013 he served as editor for the independent feature film “Man in a Box,” produced by DynaCore Films.

The independent short thriller “Capsized,” marks his directorial film debut. Scripting for the film began several years before the real tragic events of the MV Sewol and was originally inspired by the capsizing of the MS Costa Concordia in 2012. “Capsized” pays homage to films by Alfred Hitchcock and is reminiscent of the recent thriller “Buried” by Rodrigo Cortez.
